Teams from NGOs serving the homeless and socially challenged people will be invited to the Selection Tournament on 20 March, 2011. It is a 5-a-side soccer competition with total of 30 matches.

In the preliminary round, a single-robin-system on group basis will be adopted. Each group consists of 4 teams. A round-robin system on group basis will then be applied to matches among quarter-final. Individual players of the HK Contingent will then be selected from the teams. Players standing for selection would be invited to participate a 4 months Training Programme. At the end, 8 players will be selected by a Selection Interview, and the HK Contingent is formed for the Paris 2011 Homeless World Cup.
